Ruyang Xizaogou lead-zinc mine
Xizaogou lead-zinc mine is under the jurisdiction of Jincun Township, Ruyang County, and is located about 37 kilometers southwest of Ruyang County.

The structure of this area is located in the southern margin of North China Platform, and the volcanic rocks of Xiong 'er Group exposed in a large area are the main surrounding rocks of polymetallic minerals in this area. Taishanmiao granite, about 7000 meters south of the deposit, intruded along the Taishanmiao crater in the late Yanshan period, which is closely related to the formation of polymetallic minerals in this area. Faults with strong development in the east-west, northeast and northwest directions are criss-crossed, with the characteristics of dense bundles, which obviously control the distribution of deposits (points) in Yangping and Wang Ping polymetallic metallogenic belts in the south of Ruyang. Among them, Dongzaogou-Maganling, Fudian-Wang Ping and Dasheping-Mazhuang have obvious ore-controlling effects, forming favorable polymetallic metallogenic belts in the region.

Xizaogou Pb-Zn deposit is located in Yangping-Wang Ping polymetallic metallogenic belt on the west side of Dongzaogou-Maganling EW fault zone. Fracture zone ⅲ is the occurrence area of industrial ore bodies. The exposed area is more than 0/.870 meters long and 20-40 meters wide, which has the characteristics of multi-stage tectonic activity of pressure-tension-pressure-shear. The deposit is layered, veined and lenticular. The dip angle is steep, generally 60-75, and locally 80. The maximum length of a single ore body is 535 meters, the minimum is 180 meters, and the thickness is generally 3-5 meters. The average grade of the deposit is 2.26% lead and 1.85% zinc. The main metal minerals in the ore are galena and sphalerite, followed by pyrite, pyrrhotite, white iron ore, trace chalcopyrite, bornite, magnetite, native gold and native copper. , with massive, banded and veinlets disseminated structure.

The deposit has been recorded in the Book of the New Tang Dynasty: "In the fifteenth year of Kaiyuan, there were five mountains of silver and tin at the beginning of the tax". Tong Mingzhi records that mining happens from time to time. In the 18th year of Daoguang reign of Qing Dynasty (1838), Yiyang County Records named "Sieve Mountain, 70 miles southwest of the city, with many holes shaped like sieve holes. That is, the five mountains in the Tang Dynasty, see "General Examination of Literature", the junction of Yangping and Mamiao ". There are many ancient caves in the mineralized zone of this area, which were mined by people in past dynasties. By the end of 1950s, the geological team began to inspect and investigate its ore occurrence. First of all, Team Yu 08 of Henan Geological Bureau conducted a surface survey at 1958- 1960, and compiled a preliminary survey report. It is considered that the scale is small and the reserves are less than 1000 tons.

1968 to 1969, the 19th geological team of Henan Geological Bureau conducted a general survey. Associated gold was discovered for the first time. The calculated reserves are lead 12 130 tons, zinc 96 14 tons, and associated component silver 5.4 tons, which provides a certain geological basis for the later work.

1981-1984, the sixth division of the second geological survey team of Henan Bureau of Geology and Mineral Resources conducted a1∶ 50,000 regional geological survey in Fudian and Beizi. The combination anomalies of lead, zinc, gold, arsenic and silver in Yangping-Wang Ping are circled, covering an area of 65,438,000 square kilometers, and the anomalies of gold and heavy sand in Xizhaogou are inspected and evaluated. A small number of exploratory trenches were cleared and built. All the samples were analyzed by gold. According to the previous data, the lead and zinc reserves in this area are estimated to be 15788 tons. Among them, lead is 942 1 ton, zinc is 6367 tons, and associated component silver is 5.4 tons.

During the period of 1986, the second geological survey team of Henan Bureau of Geology and Mineral Resources conducted a general survey of Xizaogou mining area again by using comprehensive geological and geophysical methods, and considered that the No.3 mineralization zone was the main ore-controlling structure in this area. The deposit is a comprehensive deposit mainly containing lead and zinc, accompanied by beneficial components such as gold and silver. According to the calculation of reserves, there are 35,602 tons of lead and 25,545 tons of zinc. On the basis of raising awareness and expanding the scale of the deposit, geological data and experience are accumulated for gradually developing the general survey and prospecting work of Yangpu-Wang Ping polymetallic metallogenic belt in the south of Ruyang.

1987 made a detailed survey of No.3 ore belt. At the end of 1988, a detailed geological survey report of Xizaogou lead-zinc mine area in Ruyang County, Henan Province was submitted. Submit lead and zinc reserves 13 1 159 tons. Among them, the metal lead content is 69,892 tons, and the metal zinc content is 6 1267 tons. Due to insufficient control of the deep boundary of the ore body, a supplementary detailed survey of the deposit was carried out at 1989. The new lead and zinc reserves are 29,338 tons. The amount of lead metal is 18323 tons, and zinc is110/5 tons. Up to now, after nearly four years of work, the deposit has submitted 88,265,438+06 tons of lead metal, 72,282 tons of zinc metal, 0.65 tons of gold, 33 tons of silver and 82.37 tons of indium. It is one of the few relatively ideal independent lead-zinc deposits in Henan Province at present. Therefore, the second geological survey team won the "Seventh Five-Year Plan" period in Henan lead-zinc mine prospecting major breakthrough award.

The discovery of Xizaogou lead-zinc deposit reveals that the "volcanic-type" lead-zinc deposit in southern Ruyang, which is produced in the volcanic rocks of Xiong 'er Group and related to magmatic hydrothermal activity, has a good prospecting prospect, ending the history of "only the stars (multi-mineralized points) but not the moon" in the Yangping-Wang Ping polymetallic metallogenic belt in southern Ruyang. It has effectively promoted the development of lead-zinc ore prospecting in the south of Ruyang. In recent years, the second geological survey team has successively discovered two large lead-zinc deposits, Zhanggou and Wangpingxigou, in the east of Xizaogou lead-zinc mine, making the south of Ruyang County one of the main lead-zinc production bases in Henan Province.

The beneficiation effect of mixed lead-zinc ore in this mine is good. The laboratory test shows that the selected components are lead 3.57%, zinc 3.08%, concentrate grade lead 74.0 1%, zinc 53.29%, and the recovery rates of lead and zinc are 80.09% and 73.73% respectively.

Since the 1980s, local people's mining has once again prevailed, and the Third Exploration Team under the Provincial Department of Geology and Mineral Resources cooperated with Ruyang County to build mines in the late 1980s.
