There is a moon in the distant night sky.
Under the curved moon is a curved bridge.
Next to the bridge, there is a curved boat.
The curved boat is leisurely, which is Gillian of that childhood.
Gillian rocked the boat and sang the old ballad.
The song is floating in the wind, floating in my face.
Tears streaming down her face like a winding river.
The winding river flows into my heart.
My heart is full of melancholy, not for the crescent moon.
Just for today's village, singing the songs of the past.
The moonlight in my hometown, your curved sadness.
Through my chest, the distant night sky.
There is a curved moon, under it.
It's the curved bridge next to it.
There is a curved boat, and the curved boat is leisurely.
It's that childhood Gillian.
Creative background:
The curved moon was written in the summer of 1989. At that time, Li Haiying was asked by the production team of the music and TV movie Love on Earth to accompany this episode. He wrote music while watching TV, and it took him almost half an hour to write it. It was named "The Curved Moon". The original intention of this song is to describe a beautiful Pearl River Delta.
Li Haiying said that it was the emotional memory in his heart that made him write this song first. He imagined the dim moonlight and filled in the lyrics. While writing lyrics, Li Haiying also made many changes to the melody that had been made. Li Haiying, who grew up by the water, remembers that when she was a child, she had to take a curved boat, rowed by a woman with a child on her back. Gillian and the boat in the song are the images of the Yi family.
