Legal basis: Article 5 of the Teachers Law of People's Republic of China (PRC). The administrative department of education in the State Council is in charge of teachers' work throughout the country. The relevant departments in the State Council are responsible for the work of teachers within their respective functions and powers. Schools and other educational institutions independently manage teachers according to state regulations.
Twenty-second schools or other educational institutions shall assess teachers' political ideology, professional level, work attitude and work performance. The administrative department of education shall guide and supervise the assessment of teachers.
