How to fold the lovely snail origami?
How to fold the lovely snail origami is as follows:

1. First, fold the square colored paper into diagonal and midline creases, then fold the four corners inward along the creases, and fold the adjacent edges diagonally symmetrically.

2. Then fold into two opposite corners of a diamond, and fold upward through internal pressure at different angles to form the head and tail of the snail.

3. Turn it over and fold the remaining triangle at the bottom back and forth until there is only a small angle up.

4. Finally, turn it over, cut the head symmetrically with scissors, and fold it down by half, and the simple snail will be folded.

Origami origin debate:

There are three theories about the origin of origami: China origin, Japanese origin and Spanish origin.

Although these statements are just speculation, as early as the Western Han Dynasty, paper made of hemp and a small amount of ramie fiber appeared in China. It was not until 6 10 that Tan Zheng, a Korean monk, presented papermaking to Shoto Kutaishi, the then Regent. So many people think that origami originated in China more than 2000 years ago, and then spread to the whole world through Japan.

However, paper was unearthed in the site of the Western Han Dynasty in China, but there was no evidence that origami existed at that time. In Japan, the view that origami began in heian period (about 794- 1 185) is the mainstream, but the earliest record of origami that can be really confirmed by literature is the haiku written by Ihara Xihe, a haiku poet in the Edo era, in 1680.

This haiku refers to an origami work called "The Male Butterfly and the Female Butterfly". In the wedding ceremony, the "male butterfly and female butterfly" hung on the mouth of the hip flask.
