Laizhou No.1 Middle School, founded in 1905, is a century-old Qilu famous school. 1977 since the resumption of the college entrance examination, 42 students have won the laurels of individual total score and single subject score in Shandong province. More than 800 people won prizes in the National Olympic Games and various disciplines competitions at the provincial, prefectural and municipal levels, and more than 300 students received doctoral degrees, which is known as the "Yuan Kui School". It is one of the seven schools in Shandong Province, and the only school in Yantai City that has obtained the qualification of "Leading Plan in the New Centennial" in Tsinghua University and "Real Name Recommendation of Middle School Principals" in Peking University.
