When was Guhuai Road in Jining University demolished?
By the end of 2022, Guhuai Road 1 1.2 of Jining University had not been demolished. According to relevant public information, there is only one road reconstruction project on Guhuai Road in Jining, and there is no demolition plan. Guhuai Road in Jining is an important north-south traffic artery in Jining, and it is also the core traffic artery in the old city of Jining. During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, the Governor's Office, the highest organ in charge of national water transport, was located in the west of Guhuai Road. At that time, Guhuai Road was called Nanmen Street and Beimen Street, which split the old Jining city in two. Later, Nanmen Street and Beimen Street were dredged and widened, and this north-south traffic main road was renamed Guhuai Road because there was a thousand-year-old poplar tree in the middle of the road. The road reconstruction project of Guhuai Road starts from Taibailou Road in the south and ends at Jinyu Road in the north, with a total length of 2.86 kilometers and a red line width of 40 to 48 meters. The cross section of the designed road is upgraded from four lanes to six lanes, from Changqing Road to Jinyu Road to eight lanes, and from Ximen Street to Jiyi Affiliated Hospital to seven lanes, including a medical lane dedicated to Jiyi Affiliated Hospital. In order to ensure the smooth progress of the project, the Municipal Housing and Construction Bureau dispatched elite forces to set up special classes for the project and increased the promotion. Guhuai Road runs through Jining, a famous historical and cultural city, and the protection of ancient trees along the way is the focus of public attention. The special class of the project attaches great importance to the protection of the ancient Sophora japonica at the intersection of Yangshan and Changqing Road in the affiliated hospital. Subordinate units have been docked, the opinions of the garden department have been solicited, and special protection schemes have been formulated. At present, all construction preparations have been completed.
