Wenzhou vocational college of science was established in February 2008 with the approval of Zhejiang Provincial People's Government. It is the only public college-level ordinary higher vocational school with agricultural characteristics in our province organized by Wenzhou Municipal People's Government. The number of full-time students in the college is 3,000 in the near future and 5,000 in the medium term, and the overall construction and development plan is formulated according to the scale of 8,000 students.

At present, the college offers 13 majors, covering agriculture, forestry, finance, electronic information and other majors, including 6 agricultural majors with 2249 students. In 2008, it is planned to recruit 15 full-time freshmen in 1700 major. In addition, there are 1500 graduate students from Zhejiang University and Nanjing Agricultural University and adult students with college education.
