Ankang University Library was founded at the time of its founding 1978. At present, it is composed of the main library of Jiangnan Campus, the temporary branch library of Jiangbei and eight department reference rooms, with a total area of about 15400 m2.

The library attaches great importance to the construction of literature resources and structural optimization, constantly increasing the number of e-books and authoritative databases, and increasing the proportion of electronic resources. By the end of 20 13, there were 938,400 kinds of paper documents, 485,000 kinds of electronic books, 0 kinds of periodicals 1 108 and 93 kinds of newspapers. CNKI was ordered, the full text of newspapers and periodicals, Wanfang doctoral thesis database and academic search platform for reading show were copied, and 15 electronic resources and 19 free online resources were tried, with a storage capacity of 6.37TB.

The library now has five departments, 15 reading room and book lending room, with 2048 reading seats, academic lecture hall, Ankang local chronicles museum, Chen Shaomo memorial hall and electronic reading room, and has carried out literature circulation, reading, copying, retrieval, reference consultation, network and information services, providing readers with all-round services.
