Sinclair lewis (1885— 195 1) was born in soxsat, Minnesota on February 7, 1985. My father is a country doctor and my mother is a doctor's daughter. Lewis was introverted, diligent in thinking, loved Dickens and Scott's literary works and was good at observing social life, which laid a good foundation for his future literary creation. He spends all his spare time reading all kinds of books in the public library. Since childhood, he also likes to keep a diary secretly to record his impressions and experiences in his hometown ancient town, which has a great influence on his later literary creation.
