Yimeng culture is a unique regional culture, which has deep roots with Qi culture, Lu culture and Chu culture. Yimeng culture is profound and has a long history. Its source, Dongyi culture, is an important part of Chinese civilization. Zhuge Liang, Wang Xizhi, Liu Hong and other historical celebrities were all born in Yimeng, and the ancient Yimeng culture is brilliant. During the revolutionary war years, Liu Shaoqi and other party and state leaders, Xu, Luo Ronghuan, Marshal Chen Yi and nearly 300 generals worked and fought here. Shandong Provincial Government was established here, and China People's Anti-Japanese Military and Political University and Shandong University run schools here. Nearly a million people in Yimeng area joined the army, participated in the war and supported the front, and more than 200,000 Yimeng children died heroically. The people in the old area of Yimeng love the party and the army, and their selfless dedication has pushed Yimeng culture to a higher level and created Yimeng spirit comparable to Jinggang spirit and Yan 'an spirit.

Yimeng Culture Research Institute is a research institution jointly established by Linyi Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government and our school. Its main responsibility is to excavate, study and popularize Yimeng culture. Formerly known as Yimeng Historical Figures Research Institute, it was established in 1986, and now its name is 1998. From June 5438 to February 2008, the Shandong Red Cultural Industry Development and Research Base declared by Yimeng Cultural Research Institute was approved by the Propaganda Department of Shandong Provincial Party Committee and became the first provincial red cultural industry development and research base in China.

After years of development, Yimeng Cultural Research Institute has built a high-quality scientific research team. At present, there are full-time and part-time researchers 18, including 6 professors, 7 associate professors and 9 doctors. Dr. Shuo accounts for 60%. It has formed three stable research directions: Yimeng ancient culture research, Yimeng red culture research, Yimeng environmental change and economic and social development research.

In the study of ancient culture in Yimeng, focusing on the famous families and historical figures in Yimeng, the new editions of Yanzi Family History and Culture, Yanzi Culture Research, Yanzi Family Culture Research Series, Wang Xizhi and His Family Research, and Wang Xizhi and Wang Langya Culture Research have been published successively. At the same time, he made special research on Yimeng education, Yimeng calligraphy, Yimeng religion and Yimeng folk custom, and published works such as Wang Xizhi's Calligraphy and Wang Langya's Research, Yimeng Calligraphy History and Yimeng Education History. On the basis of great achievements in the study of figures and special topics, he published monographs such as the Study of Yimeng Culture.

In the research of Yimeng red culture, first, the research on the history of Yimeng revolutionary struggle has achieved fruitful results, and monographs such as A Brief History of Yimeng Revolutionary Struggle, History of Yimeng War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, History of Yimeng Liberation War, Research on Land Reform in the Old Shandong Area, and papers such as Reasons for the Victory of Linyi Blocking War in the Liberation War and Meng Lianggu's Campaign Tactics Thought have been published successively. Second, the study of Yimeng spirit has been strengthened, and the historical formation, basic connotation and practical significance of Yimeng spirit have been deeply discussed. Books such as Ode to a Red Sister in Yimeng, Ode to a Hero in Yimeng, Ode to a Fire in Yimeng, Ode to Double Support in Yimeng, and Good Place in Yimeng Mountain Area were published, and the Summary of the Symposium on Yimeng Spirit and Building a Well-off Society in an All-round Way and Yimeng Mountain Area Theory was published.

In the study of environmental changes and economic and social development in Yimeng, first, a major breakthrough has been made in the study of the relationship between prehistoric environmental changes and the rise and fall of prehistoric culture in Yimeng, and books such as Natural Environment and Yimeng Prehistoric Culture, Preliminary Study on Planting in Longshan Culture Period in Southeast Shandong, and Environmental Archaeology on the Rise and Fall of Ancient Culture in Yishu River Basin in Shandong have been published successively, and the research results have filled the research gaps in this area. Second, the research on Yimeng tourism resources and tourism development has made progress, mainly studying Linyi tourism resources and their development and utilization, problems faced by tourism and development countermeasures. He has published papers such as "The Development of Zhuge Liang's Special Cultural Tourism Line" and "The Stock and Development of Cultural Tourism Resources in yinan county, Shandong". Thirdly, the research and development of tourist resources in Yimeng have been strengthened, and the market positioning and marketing strategy of tourist resources in Mengshan, the evaluation and development of tourist resources in Mengshan, Shandong, and the conditions and countermeasures for the sustainable development of Linyi commercial tourism have been published. The above research results have reached the advanced level in the province.
