Shangyu Library, formerly known as Shangyu Public Library, was founded in 19 17. Shangyu County Library was established on the basis of the county cultural center in May 1956, and it is one of the first county-level public libraries in the province. After several twists and turns, it was restored on 1984. 1990 The new building with an area of 3,093 square meters was completed and opened. In June 2006, a new library was built again, with a total construction area of12,478 square meters and a library area of nearly 8,000 square meters.
