The library of our school is a library with a history of one hundred years. Over the past 20 years of reform and opening up, with the increase of state investment, the improvement of school conditions, especially the promotion of quality education, our school library has experienced a rapid development process. The newly-built library in our school covers an area of1.200m2, which is the largest, most advanced and complete public school library in Chengdu. The library has well-equipped stacks, spacious and bright students' reading rooms and teachers' reading rooms, as well as electronic reading rooms (students' electronic reading rooms and teachers' electronic reading rooms) which will be connected with the provincial library soon. Among them, the student reading room has more than 500 reading seats, and the teacher reading room has more than 80 reading seats. There are 40 computers in the electronic reading room. After the electronic reading room of our library is connected with the provincial library, teachers and students of our library can enter libraries all over the world and look for information in the electronic reading room.

Huaxi Middle School Library has more than 70,000 books, more than 300 periodicals and 49 newspapers, which can basically meet the educational, teaching and scientific research needs of all teachers and students. With the development of the school, leaders pay more and more attention to the construction of the library, and the school leaders decide to give the green light to all the funds needed for library construction. In recent years, the library plans to increase investment, so that the library collection will reach 6.5438+0.3 million volumes, reaching the standard of thousands of national model schools.

There are 4 librarians, including members of the Book Committee 1 person, 2 with intermediate titles, and professional administrators of the electronic reading room 1 person. Many papers written by teachers in the library have been exchanged in academic meetings of primary and secondary schools, and won many awards. From 65438 to 0999, the library helped students to participate in the knowledge contest of "Love My Hometown, Love My China" organized by the Municipal Education Commission, and won the Municipal Organization Award, which was reported in the national publication "Primary and Secondary School Libraries and Information World". In addition, the library is awarded the honorary title of advanced collective by the Municipal Institute of Technology and Equipment every year. In 2002, the school library won the book and equipment award issued by the Municipal Institute of Technology and Equipment.

The school library will provide more spiritual food for all teachers and students with better service, so that students can cultivate their sentiments, broaden their horizons, increase their knowledge, promote the all-round development of students' knowledge and give full play to their specialties, and make the work of the library go to a higher level.
