The house has been decorated for two years. Will formaldehyde still exist?
There is formaldehyde. It shows that the formaldehyde release time is as long as 3 to 15 years. This shows that even after more than two years of decoration, there will still be formaldehyde, and at least three years later, the indoor formaldehyde will stop releasing.

Is there any formaldehyde after renovation for more than one year? There is formaldehyde. According to the research progress report released by the Institute of Urban Environment of Chinese Academy of Sciences on September 25th, 2020, "Formaldehyde (HCHO) is one of the main indoor pollutants, and its release time is as long as 3 to 15 years." It can be seen that even if the decoration is more than one year, there will still be formaldehyde, and at least three years later, indoor formaldehyde will stop releasing.

"Containing formaldehyde" does not mean "formaldehyde exceeds the standard"

Although there will still be formaldehyde in our home after a year of decoration, it does not mean that our indoor environment is unsafe. Even in the atmosphere, it contains 0.0 1mg/m? Therefore, in life, there is no formaldehyde environment except the special space for special research, but our bodies are fine.

Therefore, containing formaldehyde affects our health. Only when formaldehyde exceeds the standard will it really affect our health. China's regulations on indoor formaldehyde concentration, namely GB/T 18883-2002 and GB50325-2020, have made clear standard intervals for formaldehyde values.

GB/T 18883-2002 stipulates that the formaldehyde concentration in indoor environment of various buildings that have been put into use shall not be higher than 0. 1mg/m? And GB50325-2020 standard stipulates that the formaldehyde content of the houses delivered by anti-developers and builders, a class of civil buildings, namely residential buildings, hospitals, old-age buildings, kindergartens, school classrooms and other civil construction projects should be less than 0.07mg/m? . Class II civil buildings, namely office buildings, shops, hotels, cultural and entertainment places, bookstores, libraries, exhibition halls, gymnasiums, public transport waiting rooms, restaurants, barbershops and other civil construction projects, the formaldehyde concentration in the air should be less than 0.08mg/m? .

Therefore, in the corresponding scenario, as long as the indoor formaldehyde concentration can reach the standard, it can be guaranteed that formaldehyde will not affect our health.

How to avoid formaldehyde exceeding the standard during decoration?

First of all, choose environmentally friendly building materials when decorating. Such as logs, glass, metal, stone and other products, to ensure that the aldehyde content in the substrate does not exceed the standard at first, or does not contain formaldehyde.

Secondly, when using decoration materials, we should also try to avoid using wood-based panels, artificial leather, inferior glue, styrofoam and other materials with high aldehyde content.

In addition, when choosing furniture, we should also pay attention to the purchase of environmentally friendly furniture, and confirm to the manufacturer whether the purchased furniture has passed the corresponding environmental protection standard test to ensure the formaldehyde content in the furniture.

Finally, at the end of all decoration processes and when the furniture is stationed, indoor formaldehyde testing should be carried out to determine whether the formaldehyde in the home exceeds the standard.
