China Library Classification, referred to as Chinese Library Classification, is now the fifth edition. Including Marxism-Leninism, Mao Zedong Thought, philosophy, social science, natural science and comprehensive books, there are 22 basic categories in five categories, as follows:
A: Marxism–Leninism, Mao Zedong Thought and Deng Xiaoping Theory. Philosophy and religion. C: introduction to social science. D: politics and law. E: military. F: Economy class. G: culture, science, education and sports. H: Language and writing. I: literature. Art classes: history and geography.
N: introduction to natural science. Mathematical science and chemistry. P: astronomy, earth science. Q: Biological science. Medicine and health. Science: agricultural science. T: industrial technology. U: transportation. V: aviation and aerospace. X: environmental science, labor protection science (safety science). Z: comprehensive books.
Classification characteristics of China:
1, China Library Classification is a comprehensive classification with detailed categories, many annotations and different versions, which can meet the document classification needs of various libraries and information departments.
2. On the basis of sorting, the method of grouping and numbering is adopted, alternating categories are set, multiple breakdown tables are compiled, and the method of multi-column is adopted to improve the compilation technology.
3. The classification number is short, easy to remember and easy to use.
4. A more detailed category index and instructions (manuals) have been compiled.
