Since the library of Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine was established on 1955, with the continuous expansion of the school scale, our library has been developing and expanding from the aspects of traditional Chinese medicine collection, service function and information research. The new building was put into use in February, 1988, and the construction area increased to 6,200 square meters. There are six stacks in the main building, namely, social science stack, natural science stack, ancient book thread-bound stack, basic stack and storage standby stack. There are inquiry machines in the stacks of social science and natural science for readers to consult. The annex has four reading rooms for teachers, graduate students and students, with 625 seats. There is also a 240-seat academic lecture hall.
