Brief introduction of ghost subway
Ghost station refers to a station that has not been opened for a long time. In the eyes of most people, the subway in Beijing seems to have only those lines outlined on the map. In fact, there are secrets in the subway that you can't guess, and the subway lines are far more than those drawn on the map. It can be said that the Beijing subway is an underground maze, with numerous forks leading to unknown locations. From the beginning of Apple Orchard to the end of Sihuidong, this is a complete operation map of Beijing Metro 1 Line. In fact, there are two little-known subway stations further west of Apple Orchard Station, namely Fushouling Station and Gaojing Station, numbered 102 and 10 1 respectively. Because the subway was built for combat readiness in 1969, it is actually military. After the subway 1 line was converted to civilian use in 1980s, Fushouling Station and Gaojing Station were closed to the public. At first, it was operated as a commuter train for students of Beijing Fushouling Metro Vocational School. However, with the cancellation of the commuter train at Fushouling Station on May 28th, 2007, the only entrance at Fushouling Station has been completely closed, becoming a "ghost station". Gaojing Station is the westernmost station in the underground part of 1 line.
