Early experience
Li Yifu moved to Yongtai (now Yanting, Sichuan) in his early years because his grandfather was a magistrate of Shehong County. In the eighth year of Zhenguan (634), Li Yifu was recommended as a provincial ritual vessel by Li Daliang, the governor of Jiannan, and was later recommended as the censor by Liu Yue and Ma Zhou, and served as the retinue of Li Zhi, the king of Jin.
Bye bye to each other after work
In the seventeenth year of Zhenguan (643), Emperor Taizong established Li Zhi as the Crown Prince, and appointed Li Yifu as the Prince Scheeren and the Bachelor of Chongxian Pavilion. He presented "Chenghua Zhen" and mentioned that "there are many kinds of evils, and how clever they are.
Although he tried his best to please the prince, he was regarded as an enlightened man in honesty and frankness.
In the 23rd year of Zhenguan (649), Emperor Taizong died of illness, and Prince Li Zhi succeeded Tang Gaozong. Li Yifu was appointed as the new Chinese librarian. In the second year of Yonghui (65 1), Tang Gaozong ordered Li Yifu to study national history and add a bachelor's degree in Hong Wen Pavilion.
In the sixth year of Yonghui (655), Li Yifu was demoted to Bizhou Sima for offending Prime Minister Sun Chang. Before the imperial edict was issued, he was told in secret and discussed the countermeasures with China calligrapher Wang Dejian. He said, "The emperor wanted to make Wu Queen, but he was afraid that the Prime Minister would not agree, so he never formally proposed it. If you can help this matter, you can turn disaster into happiness. " Li Yifu then replaced the night shift, took the opportunity to knock on the table, and requested to depose the Queen Wang and replace Wu (namely Wu Zetian). Tang Gaozong was overjoyed, summoned Li Yifu, and withdrew the letter of demotion, leaving him in his original post.
In the same year 10, Wu Zetian was made queen. Soon, Li Yifu was worshipped as assistant minister of Zhongshu, and was named Guangping County Duke by the way of Zhongshu. He conspired with Xu, Cui, Yuan, Hou and others, colluded with each other, degraded himself to kill loyal ministers, and finally enabled Wu Zetian to steal power.
Multiple illegal acts
In the year of Xianqingyuan (656), Li Yifu was appointed as the right illegitimate son of the Prince and entered Guangping County. At that time, a woman from Chunyu's home in Luozhou was put into Dali Temple prison for committing a crime. Li Yifu heard that the spring rain was beautiful, so he secretly ordered Cheng Dali to let her go and take her as his concubine. Bao Jue in the Qing Dynasty of Dali Temple was faithfully played, and Liu, Liu, Liu and Liu were ordered to be tried. Li Yifu worried that things would be exposed and forced Justice to hang himself in prison, so as to cut off the empirical evidence. Although Tang Gaozong knew the truth, he didn't hold Li Yifu accountable.
Later, Wang impeached Li Yifu and said, "Yizheng killed Si Cheng and should be punished." Li Yifu went out to argue and reprimand, and the king scolded him three times before he stepped down disgruntled. He thought that Wang slandered the minister, made rude remarks and was furious, and demoted him to Laizhou. After the dynasty, Li Yifu proudly asked, "Are you ashamed of Wang's reckless impeachment?" Wang Yi said with a straight face: "Confucius was the commander-in-chief of Lu, and he killed Shao Zhengmao in only seven days. My king has been on the throne for 16 days, but he can't punish evil and promote good. It is really guilty. " Soon, Li Yifu became the son of Prince Zuo.
In 657, Tang Gaozong promoted Li Yifu to the position of secretariat, suggestion, prince, and Hejian, and built a mansion for him. At that time, Li Yifu was favored by the imperial court, and all his children were made important officials. He is greedy by nature, selling officials and titles with his wife and son-in-law, attracting more people, making friends and running rampant in power.
Prior to this, Assistant Minister Du Ren Zhongshu and Li Yifu served as provincial officials, and the latter two jointly served as provincial officials in the Chinese book. Du spoke highly of his predecessors and despised Li Yifu. In 658, in the third year of Emperor Xianqing, Du He and Assistant Minister Zhongshu murdered Li Yifu. As a result, things leaked out and Li Yifu told the emperor. The two men argued endlessly in front of Tang Gaozong, holding their own words. Li Yifu was demoted as the secretariat, Du as the secretariat of Hengzhou, and Fengzhou as the secretariat.
In 659, in the fourth year of the reign of Emperor Xianqing, Li Yifu was recalled to North Korea, where he served as the official minister and scholar. Previously, Li Yifu claimed to be born in Zhao and was included in Li Chongde's genealogy. When he was demoted to Zhou Pu, Li Chongde removed him from the list, so he held a grudge. After Li Yifu returned to North Korea, he ordered the prosecution of Luo Zhi and put Li Chongde in prison. Li Chongde finally committed suicide in prison.
In the second year of Longshuo (662), Tang Gaozong changed the official system, and Li Yifu was appointed as the director of Sirie Station Changbo and Tongdongxi Station. He invited the emperor, reburied his grandfather at the edge of Yongkang Mausoleum, and recruited seven county people to transport soil day and night to repair the grave. The princes of the Qing Dynasty rushed to give wine, and the funeral procession stretched for 70 miles, which was extremely luxurious. In November of the same year, Tang Gaozong named Li Xulun, the eighth son of the emperor (namely Li Dan) as the king of Yin and named Li Yifu as the long history of Yin.
Exiled country
In the third year of Longshuo (663), Li Yifu was promoted to the right and still presided over the election. He flatters the emperor, but he is willing to break the law when he goes out. All officials are afraid, and no one dares to exaggerate. Tang Gaozong knew a little about this and warned him, "I heard that many of your sons and son-in-law have violated the law, so I covered for you. You should discipline them more. " Li Yifu was angry and asked, "Who told your majesty?" Gao Zong said, "It's good that you know. Don't ask me how I know." Li Yifu also don't apologize, twist a head and walk. Although Tang Gaozong didn't pursue it, he was deeply dissatisfied.
Soon, Li Yifu invited Du Yuanji, a warlock, to see Qi. Du Yuanji said, "There are unjust prisons in your house. If you save 20 million, you can suppress your grievances. " Li Yifu was convinced of this, and he was more eager to search for money. He also cried for his dead mother and went out of the city with Du Yuanji incognito. At that time, people thought that Li Yifu was spying on the disaster and plotting evil. At this time, Li Yifu asked Sun Yan, the grandson of Sun Chang Wuji, for seven hundred crowns, and made him the army supervisor of Jin Si. As a result, he was reported by Yang Xingying and joined the army in Youjinwucang.
In April, Tang Gaozong imprisoned Li Yifu, and ordered Liu Xiangdao, the chief criminal officer, to be tried together with Yushitai and Detailed Punishment Hall (Dali Temple), under the supervision of Sikong Li Ji. Soon, Tang Gaozong sent a letter to exile Li Yifu to Wazhou (now Xichang, Sichuan) for a long time, and his son-in-law was also exiled. People in and out of government celebrated this, and some even wrote an article entitled "Marshal Liu Xiang Reveals Copper Mountain Thief Li Yifu in Hejian Road March" and posted it on the road.
Die of grief and anger
In the first year of Ganfeng (666), Tang Gaozong sealed Mount Tai and granted amnesty to the whole world, but prisoners who had been in exile for a long time were not allowed to return home. Li Yifu was worried and died at the age of 53. At this point, the courtiers worried that he would get up again were relieved.
In the first year of Shangyuan (674), Li Yifu's wife and children were pardoned and returned to Luoyang. In the first year of Ruyi (692), Wu Zetian remembered Li Yifu's previous assistance, posthumously awarded it as the governor of Yangzhou, and later granted it to 300 households. In the first year of Jing Yun (7 10), Tang Ruizong succeeded to the throne, and Li Yifu's real seal was taken back.
Anecdotal allusions
Li Yifu is easy-going and polite on the surface, and always speaks kindly to people, but he is narrow-minded, jealous and cruel. After he holds an important position, anyone who violates it will be framed. At that time, people all called him "Li Mao".
