Introduction to Liu Shiqun:
1964 graduated from the Fine Arts Department of Jiangxi University of Culture and Arts, 198 1 graduated from the Oil Painting Department of Central Academy of Fine Arts. 65438-0985 Joined China Artists Association. 1999. He used to be deputy director of Ganzhou Mass Art Museum, secretary-general and executive vice chairman of Ganzhou Artists Association, president of Gannan Painting Academy, supervisor of Gannan Normal College and deputy director of teaching committee of Academy of Fine Arts, president of Qianzhou Art School, vice president of College of Science and Technology of Ningbo University, president of Qiancheng Painting and Calligraphy Research Institute, director of Jiangxi Artists Association, vice president of Jiangxi Oil Painting Research Association and member of Jiangxi CPPCC. He is currently the honorary chairman of Ganzhou Artists Association.
He is good at oil painting, gouache and Chinese painting, and has exhibited and published hundreds of works at home and abroad. Representative works include: Hometown Moon (Excellence Award in the 6th National Art Exhibition), Tutor and Postgraduate (Gold Award in the 97 National Education System Painting and Calligraphy Exhibition), Hakka Marrying Daughter (Gold Award in the 7th China Strait Craft Expo), Fortress of Workers and Peasants (Collection of Chairman Mao Memorial Hall) and so on. He has published monographs such as Painting Creation, Liu Shiqun Oil Painting, Liu Shiqun Landscape Painting, and Color Basic Course.
His creative themes are mainly Soviet history, Hakka customs, rural scenery and so on. The artistic style is magnificent, simple and beautiful, reflecting the spirit of the times in a realistic way and expressing the Chinese style in an original way.
