Does Gansu belong to the south or the north?
Gansu is located in the northwest of China and belongs to the north.

But there is another city in Gansu that belongs to the south! It is not that the climate and environment are similar to those in the south, but that it belongs to the south geographically. This city is Longnan, not only known as the south of the Yangtze River, but also an out-and-out southern city.

The dividing line in the north is the dividing line between Qinling Mountain and Huaihe River. Qinling Mountain originated in Mackey, Tianshui, and Longnan is in the south of Tianshui, so Longnan is the southern region.

Gansu, a provincial administrative region of People's Republic of China (PRC), is called Gan or Long for short, and its capital is Lanzhou. Located in the upper reaches of the Yellow River, the geographical center of the motherland, between 3211'-42 57' north latitude and 9213'-108 46' east longitude; Shaanxi in the east, Sichuan in the south, Qinghai and Xinjiang in the west, Inner Mongolia and Ningxia in the north and Mongolia in the north; It belongs to temperate continental climate and subtropical monsoon climate. The total land area of the province is 425,900 square kilometers, and it governs 12 prefecture-level cities and 2 autonomous prefectures, with a permanent population of 26,099,500 (20 16 at the end of the year).

Gansu is an ancient Yongzhou. Qin ruled the country and established 36 counties. Gansu still belongs to Longxi County and Beidi County. During the Northern Song Dynasty, when Xixia ruled Hexi, there was a Gansu military division. This is the earliest name in Gansu. 1950, Gansu provincial people's government was established, which governs present-day Gansu and western Inner Mongolia.

Gansu takes Ganzhou and Suzhou (now Jiuquan) as the first letters. Because Xixia once set up Gansu military sub-division, Gansu Province was set up in Yuan Dynasty, referred to as Gansu for short. Because most of the province is in the west of Longshan (Liupan Mountain), Longyou Road is located here in the Tang Dynasty, so it is also called Longyan for short. Fuxi, Nuwa and Huangdi, the humanistic ancestors of the Chinese nation, are said to have been born in Gansu. Famous scenic spots include: Dunhuang Mogao Grottoes, Tianshui Maiji Mountain Scenic Area, Tianshui Fuxi Temple Jiayuguan and so on.
