Liancheng County Library was established in 1985 65438+ 10, and the new library was completed in 1987. It is located atNo. 14, North Street Middle Road, county town, with a building area of 176 1 m2, with 68,000 books, 7 cadres and workers, and 4 with intermediate titles and primary titles.

There are loan rooms, newspaper reading rooms, children's reading rooms, editing rooms, science and technology reference rooms, local literature rooms, offices, stacks and so on. Newspaper reading seats 150, 60 children reading seats; The total length of the bookshelf is 2002 meters. Books are indexed according to the fourth edition of China Library Classification and recorded according to the general book description rules. 2 sets of classified catalogues, 2 sets of book titles, 1 set of newspaper nomination catalogue 1, and 2 sets of Liancheng Local Information Catalogue Index.

Our library adopts open-shelf and semi-open-shelf service, which is open for 56 hours every week. It warmly receives readers, makes reservations for borrowing books, delivers books to your door, and asks readers for answers. The average annual library card is 700 Yu Ben, with a total circulation of 80,000 people, 60,000 books borrowed from abroad and 500 Tibetan books. Adhere to the activities of library service week, and hold activities such as readers' book review contest, red land reading speech contest, farmers' new tricks to get rich, and children's readers' garden visits. Set up a "mobile book box jointly built by the army and the people", carry out book lending activities with relevant local troops, and also take the initiative to deliver books to township cultural centers. Established 10 grass-roots service points and held basic knowledge training courses for librarians of township cultural stations.

Our library vigorously develops local literature resources, and collects 522 volumes of Liancheng party history, literature and history materials and works by Liancheng authors, and 525 volumes of Liancheng genealogy with 38 surnames and 74 species.

Our library organizes staff to participate in all kinds of knowledge training and encourages staff to participate in thesis writing. At present, national, provincial and municipal papers 12 have been published.

Our library has been rated as "advanced unit of spiritual civilization" by the county since 1990, "two advanced units of civilization" by the county since199, and "civilized unit" by the county party committee and county government since 1993.
