Say the name of the textbook first.
"Mechanical Principles" is not for beginners, but for learning mechanical characteristics.
Fundamentals of Machinery is definitely not a textbook for mechanical students, but may be a general education textbook for mechanical students, and even beginners can do it.
"Mechanical Drawing" generally includes descriptive geometry and mechanical drawing, which is suitable for beginners of mechanical students.
"Mechanical Design" generally includes the above two cases about schematic diagram+national standard+parts learning+mechanical product design skills. Not necessarily suitable for beginners, but generally more comprehensive, the book is also relatively thick.
Here are some suggestions:
Zhang Chongben, Mechanical Drawing, Zhang Xuemei Machinery Industry Press,
Fundamentals of Mechanical Design (5th Edition) Yang Kezhen, Cheng Guangyun, Li Zhongsheng Higher Education Society,
These two books are better.
PS I studied "Fundamentals of Mechanical Design (I)" by Beihang Publishing House (namely descriptive geometry+mechanical drawing+national standard+some parts). This computer drawing is more suitable for learning computer drawing (very important! ! Solidworks and CAD)
At the beginning of learning mechanical design, you should have enough "feeling" about geometric figures, look at more pictures and draw more pictures.
Recommended counseling book
The Basic Learning Methods and Problem Solving Ideas of Mechanical Design by Science Press is well written in its workbook, written by Liu Jinghua.
