How to use portrait mode on iPad

IPad is a very popular tablet computer with high-definition display and smooth operation experience. When using the iPad, sometimes we need to switch the screen to portrait mode, so as to better browse the web, view documents or use some applications. Here's how to use portrait mode on iPad.

Step 1: Open the control center.

First, we need to open the control center. On the iPad, just swipe up from the bottom of the screen to open the control center. In the control center, we can find a rotary lock button. The icon of this button is a circular arrow in the lock direction.

Step 2: Close the rotary lock.

In the control center, we can see the rotary lock button. If this button is gray, it means that the rotary lock has been closed, and we can skip to the next step directly. If this button is white, it means that the rotary lock has been opened. We need to click this button to close the rotary lock.

Step 3: Switch to portrait mode.

After turning off the rotary lock, we can rotate the iPad 90 degrees to make it enter portrait mode. At this point, the screen of the iPad will automatically rotate to adapt to portrait mode. If the screen doesn't rotate automatically, we can check whether the rotation lock is closed and rotate the iPad 90 degrees again.

In portrait mode, we can better browse the web, view documents or use some applications. If you need to switch back to landscape mode, just reopen the control center and close the rotary lock.
