Wendeng No.1 Middle School, Wendeng No.2 Middle School, Song Cun Middle School, Gaocun Middle School, Wendeng Experimental Middle School, Zhangjiachan Middle School, Dashuipo Middle School, Zeku Middle School, Zetou Middle School and Mi Shan Middle School have merged many middle schools, but now there are not many.
Wendeng No.1 Middle School is located at No.9 Mishan Road, Wendeng District, Weihai City. Founded in July, 1952, named Wendeng Middle School. The school is temporarily based in Doubu Village, Huanglan Township, with Wang Liwen as the principal and Wendeng Society as the leader. In that year, 200 students from four classes in junior high school were enrolled, and they moved from Weihai No.1 Middle School to four classes in senior high school in August. 1953. It was the first high school in China and moved to its present location in the same year. 1955 was renamed Wendeng No.1 Middle School in Shandong Province, 1962 and 1978 were provincial key middle schools of the Provincial Education Department. 1992 was identified as the first batch of provincial-level standardized schools by the provincial education department. The school covers an area of 8 1894 square meters with a building area of 32,434 square meters. There are 278 faculty members and 3400 students.
