What are the landmark buildings on the campus of China Ocean University?
Sakura Avenue 1

In Laoshan campus, we can't help but mention our Sakura Avenue. Cherry Blossom Avenue here is as famous as the cherry blossoms of Wuhan University. Around April, the whole Haida University can be described as "delicious grass and colorful cherry blossoms". All the tourists who come here come to the school to enjoy cherry blossoms and take photos.

2. Jiuqiu Square

As the name implies, there are nine round stone balls in Jiuqiu Square. In addition to the stone balls, it is the promenade around the square and the wisteria above. When the brilliance of cherry blossoms fades quietly with the hot weather, wisteria is in full bloom in Jiuqiu Square. In the long corridor, many students smell the flowers and look at Wisteria Falls, which is very comfortable.

3. Library

The library is not the tallest building, nor is it the largest building. But the library is the most solemn and magnificent building in my eyes. There are about 2.5 million kinds of paper books and periodicals, more than 5 million kinds of electronic books and periodicals in Chinese and foreign languages, and 303 databases. They have always adhered to the service concept of "all for readers" and are committed to providing warm and convenient services for readers.

The development goal of the library is to become a modern library with rich collections, distinctive features, openness and civilization by the centenary of its establishment.

4. Erwu Square and Arc de Triomphe

Definitely a landmark. As soon as I came in from the main entrance of Haida University, I saw it at first sight. No matter friends who have just arrived at school or parents who come to visit the school, the second place must be Erwu Square after taking photos from the school gate.

The Arc de Triomphe has also accompanied us with many memories ... because ... the undergraduate course has made great strides, and the welcome map of graduate students' report must have been hung on the Arc de Triomphe long ago. After all, it is a pleasure to have friends coming from afar.

5. East Track and Field of Laoshan Campus.

School-style military training parade and sports meeting are held here. There are many little brothers and sisters running at night, and holidays are never delayed. Running ten laps in my spare time is particularly comfortable. In addition, there is a football field and two goals in the middle of the track and field, and there are often football teams playing football. On the one hand, there is a football team composed of some international students, and on the other hand, there is a school football team.

Haida University, formerly a private university in Qingdao, was founded in 1924. After several changes, it developed into China Ocean University in a few days. In this school with a history of nearly a hundred years, many European-style buildings have been preserved. Yushan Campus is the old campus of Haida University. Here, whether it is a shady path or a quiet building, there are years and traces.

The buildings here were mainly built during the occupation of Qingdao by Germany and Japan (Yushan Campus was originally a German barracks in Qingdao), and the architectural style is typical neo-Gothic. The Science Museum and the Chemistry Museum, which were later built in 1930s, were Gothic and inherited their original styles.
