If you want to borrow books, you need to apply for a card of Shanghai Central Library. Applicants are China citizens and foreigners with valid certificates, including second-generation ID cards, Hong Kong and Macao passes or home visits, Taiwan compatriots' cards, military personnel's cards, and foreigners' passports. The scope of use is on the third and fourth floors of the library, Shanghai Library and foreigners' passports.
