By the end of 20 10, Zhoushan Library had more than 380,000 books. There are more than 4,500 books in the series and multi-volume books, including Sikuquanshu, Continued Sikuquanshu, Four Series, Series of the Republic of China, General History of China Culture and Encyclopedia of China.

Collect local documents 1639 kinds and 49 10 volumes (books 158 1 kind, 4 164 volumes, 63667 volumes of newspapers and periodicals, 58 kinds of videos and 79 pieces), covering local chronicles, yearbooks and yearbooks. Since 1993, Zhoushan famous writers' library, Zhoushan social library, Zhoushan natural science library, Zhoushan workers' lantern riddle database, Zhoushan photographers association, Zhoushan celebrity library and Zhoushan port construction materials have been continuously established and improved, and Zhoushan special literature on marine culture and Zhoushan port construction materials is being established. The structure and system of Zhoushan's characteristic collections, which serve the marine economy and are rich in island characteristics, have initially taken shape. What is more gratifying is that the collection of key documents in some places in our city has been continuously strengthened. At present, there are 36 volumes of ancient local documents 14 kinds, and new local records 1 18 kinds 17 1 volume.
