Laser printer is a printing output device which combines laser scanning technology and electrophotography technology. Its basic working principle is that the binary data information transmitted by the computer is converted into a video signal through a video controller, and then the video signal is converted into a laser driving signal through a video interface/control system, and then a laser scanning system generates a laser beam carrying character information, and finally the laser beam is imaged and transferred to paper by an electrophotographic system. Compared with other printing equipment, laser printer has the advantages of fast printing speed and high imaging quality. But the use cost is relatively high.
According to the working principle, inkjet printers can be divided into solid inkjet and liquid inkjet (the latter is more common now), and liquid inkjet can be divided into bubble inkjet (Canon and Hewlett-Packard) and liquid piezoelectric inkjet (Epson). Bubble jet technology is to heat the nozzle to make the ink generate bubbles and spray them on the printing medium.
