Wenpeng seal cutting

Wen Peng's seal cutting is exquisite and elegant, with charming and fresh style. His style of Zhu Wen is simple and elegant, which was changed on the basis of Zhu Wen in Song and Yuan Dynasties. The sealing method is slightly square, which looks simple and vigorous. His other kind of Zhu Wen, which only uses square folding structure, may be influenced by Chinese and Indian. Because he pays attention to six books, the seal script is not grotesque, and he can draw nutrition from the seal script of Qin and Han dynasties, so his seal script really made the seal script world at that time look brand-new. Frozen stone is easy to carve, and the edge of the seal can also be carved by the author himself. His border style is to write regular script on the stone surface first, and then carve it with double knives according to the handwriting. Under the advocacy and influence of Wen Peng and He Zhen, seal cutting was popular for some time. Scholars, painters and calligraphers all participated in the creation of seal cutting, and Wen Peng became the forerunner of the literati seal cutting school. Chen Wanyan, Li,, and others studied under Wen Peng. Later, it was called Wumen Sect.

Good at writing ink and bamboo, the old pen is vertical and horizontal, straight into the text and room. It's also the scenery, like my father's wind, and the flowers and fruits are not bad. Exquisite calligraphy, few scholars biography, beginners Zhong (Yao) Wang (Xizhi), and later Huai Su, becoming a family of its own. In his later years, he devoted himself to studying Sun Guoting, especially seal script and official script. He wrote 19 volumes of ancient poems for thirty years of Jiajing (155 1) and copied Chou Shizhou's Riverside Scene at Qingming Festival. In particular, the seal cutting is fine and the style is steady. He Zhen is also called "Wen He". I used to do a lot of tooth prints, so I personally inked them, so I asked Nanjing Li Quartz to engrave them. Later, many stone seals were engraved on the light stone, which was inherited by later generations and was called "the originator of literati seal". Paintings handed down from ancient times include "Lanzhu Tu" made by Qin Long in the sixth year (1572), which is included in the Collection of Paintings and Calligraphy of Jin, Tang, Five Dynasties, Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties. Lanzhu Tu is now in the Palace Museum. In the forty-first year of Jiajing (1562), he wrote "Zhu Mo Map Axis" with the title: "I love Xiaotian in the south of the Yangtze River, and the flowers are sold out. The north window faces south to read, and sometimes a cool breeze blows to the pillow. Wen Peng wrote a letter to Mr. Fang Hu, and it was another sunny day. " It is now in the Guangdong Provincial Museum. He can also write poems, and he is the author of The Collection of Doctoral Poems.

Learn Zhong and Wang first, then Huai Su. In his later years, he studied the court, especially good at seals and official seals. There is a steady stream of book seekers. His father is contemporary with the title of this book, but sometimes he is not Le Shu, although powerful people dare not be strong. Peng's hand never stopped waving, and the seeker meant nothing wrong. Engraving is regarded as the golden rule by later generations. The multi-tooth seals he made were often carved by Li Wenfu, a native of Jinling. Shan Li carved the eaves, and the carved flowers were exquisite. Although Yin belongs to this person, he can't lose his brushwork, so half of his teeth marks have been separated from Li's hand. When Peng Hou was in the South Prison, he got the light stone, but he stopped treating his teeth, so the name of frozen stone began to spread around the world. Writing ink bamboo, the old pen is vertical and horizontal, straight into the text and room. The mountains and rivers are as gloomy as real weapons. He is also good at writing flowers and fruits. Died at the age of seventy-six.

Wen Peng's position in Indian studies is much higher than calligraphy. He is recognized as the founder of seal cutting in Ming and Qing Dynasties. There are real historical records. The first person who printed Qingtian Stone was Wen Peng, a doctor from imperial academy in Ming Dynasty. When he was working in Nanjing, one day he happened to meet an old man selling Qingtian stone, bought four baskets of stones and sawed them at home. The strange stones were crystal clear in the light and became a dazzling seal. Among them, the good quality is translucent "glazed frozen stone", and the poor quality is also the old pit mine at that time. From then on, he used Qingtian stone instead of ivory for printing. So the name of the frozen stone began to be seen by the world, and its name spread all over the country. In the history of seal cutting art, Wen Peng is the originator. Since then, scholars have gradually switched to lithographs and carved by themselves. Due to the extensive use of Quercus, it has greatly promoted the development of seal cutting. Zhu Jian, a famous seal engraver in the Ming Dynasty, described: "Since the Third Bridge, everything has been brushed and brushed, and every word has flourished in Qin and Han Dynasties!" This shows Wen Peng's important position in the development history of seal cutting, a literary school. After Wen Peng, Indian studies developed greatly, affecting the whole world for 400 years. Wen Peng, the eldest son of Wen Zhiming, one of the four great talents in the south of the Yangtze River in the Ming Dynasty, has a profound family background and outstanding talents. He has attainments in poetry, calligraphy, painting and seal cutting, and is respected by later generations as the originator of seal cutting in China. Wen Peng used Qingtian stone seal cutting to end the bronze seal era in China for more than 2,000 years, and entered the stone seal era with literati as the main body, personality as the feature and famous artists coming forth in large numbers. Due to the influence of Wen Peng and the superiority of lithograph itself, lithograph began to be loved by literati.

Wen Peng carved with frozen stone, pioneered the boundary section of seal, changed the shortcomings of dull and delicate since the Yuan Dynasty, and restored the Sino-Indian tradition. He and He Zhen proposed that seal cutting should be based on six books, and made great efforts in creative practice, which made unprecedented achievements, created a situation in which literati carved their own seals and separated calligraphy and painting, and scholars set off a craze for learning seal cutting. There are many people who specialize in Wen Peng, and later they were called "Wu Men School". Some people learned from He Zhen, and later they were called "Huizhou School" or "Huizhou School".

His seal cutting has the significance of connecting the preceding with the following. His works are based on lightness, elegance, calmness and beauty. Bai Wen deliberately traced back to the Han method, while Zhu Wen took the legacy of the Song and Yuan Dynasties to bring forth the new. Wen Peng also founded the first school of seal cutting in Ming Dynasty-Wumen Sect, or Sanqiao Sect, whose masters are mainly Chen Wanyan, Li, and Li. His seal cutting works were not printed at that time, and the original works were rarely preserved. However, during the Wanli period, Zhang Hao compiled the seal collection into Chengqing Pavilion Seal and collected 19 white seals carved by Wen Peng, but the original stones of these seals have not been found so far. Wen Peng, as a high-ranking national exposition in calligraphy and painting circles in Beijing and China, advocates and participates in seal cutting, which is of great significance to the initial stage of seal cutting. There is no doubt about Wen Peng's outstanding contribution to seal cutting. He created the seal cutting atmosphere in Ming and Qing Dynasties, which directly and indirectly influenced the formation and development of seal cutting schools in the future. However, in the past, we knew very little about him and his art, which is a shortcoming in the study of seal cutting history in Ming and Qing Dynasties. Through research, some misunderstandings about Wen Peng in the past were clarified, and his position and contribution in the history of seal cutting were evaluated.
