This is Nobel Prize in Literature's famous American writer Hemingway's description of Paris. Fortunately, I was studying and practicing in Paris when I was 23-24 years old.

If Paris is a flowing feast, then its museum is an indispensable dish.

There are dozens of public and private museums in Paris, which can feast your eyes.

During my three and a half years studying in France, I deeply felt the splendid artistic atmosphere of this country. It has an annual museum night, not only in Paris, but also in other large and small cities.

Paris is the best collection in the whole French museum. According to my personal experience, I will give you the following three museums in Amway.

The most famous museum in the world must be the Louvre, the first of the four major museums in the world and the first in the world. During the non-epidemic period, it received nearly100000 tourists from home and abroad.

Located in the north bank of the Seine River in the center of Paris, the Louvre covers an area of 65,438+098 hectares, with a collection of more than 400,000 pieces. It is famous for its rich classical paintings and sculptures.

It started at 1204, more than 800 years ago. At first, it was just the bedroom of the French royal family, where more than 50 French kings and queens lived. It is one of the most precious buildings in French classicism. It was not until 1793 that the museum was officially called open to the public.

After 800 years of continuous repair, expansion and maintenance, it has the reputation of Wanbao Palace today.

When you go to the Louvre, you must see its four treasures-Mona Lisa's smiling painting, the Statue of Victory, the Brokeback Venus and the code of hammurabi Monument.

When I really stand in the Louvre and look at these four fine collections, I will admire them and think about them carefully. Every work has gone through thousands of years, so historical relics are in front of me. It represents the glory and magnificence of the past. The historical footprint of the past is so meaningful that the masterpieces of human ingenuity shine with strong humanistic light.

The most noteworthy pavilions in the Louvre include the Painting Pavilion, the Sculpture Pavilion, the Egyptian Pavilion and the Oriental Pavilion.

Another glass pagoda designed by I.M. Pei, a famous designer in China, is not to be missed at the entrance. It is called the symbol of modern Paris. The biggest effect of its design lies in good logistics support, including the tourist reception hall, post office and dressing room, from which tourists can go directly to the area they want to visit, instead of going around like in the past.

Its rich collection is worth visiting again and appreciating these 40,000 exquisite works of art many times. I have been to the Louvre four times before and after, and each time I have gained something new. I often go to Changxin Store.

In April, 2022, the Louvre launched a new Chinese official website. Interested friends can go and have a look.

If you can only go to a foreign museum once in your life, then the Louvre must be the first choice for most people.

After the Louvre, let's talk about the Orsay Museum, the art hall of "the most beautiful museum in Europe".

It is located on the left bank of the Seine River in Paris, facing the Louvre along the river.

I didn't expect it to be rebuilt with the abandoned Orsay Railway Station for many years. Originally, Orsay Railway Station was built for the 1900 World Expo. After it was abandoned, the romantic French creatively transformed it into a museum.

When you are in it, you will feel so open, because you are in a long and narrow rectangular space. The reconstructed museum curator 140m, 40m wide and 32m high, with a glass ceiling of 35,000m2 at the top and a usable museum area of more than 57,000m2.

It was only opened for more than 30 years and was not completed until the end of 1986. The museum mainly displays a wonderful collection of western art works created between 1848 and 19 14 years, including paintings, sculptures, decorations, photos and architectural design.

If you come to Orsay, the works you can't miss here are Van Gogh's self-portraits Sunflower and Church of Al, Gauguin's Two Women on the Beach and Monet's Blue Water Lily.

If the Louvre is vast, then Orsay is modern and exquisite.

The Louvre and its complete exhibits, spanning more than 5000 years, are large and complete. Orsay has collected the excellent works of many top artists less than 19-20 century, which are small and beautiful.

Two completely different styles must have conquered the audience.

I have been to Orsay once just to see the masterpieces of talented painters. What surprises me most is the fusion of the empty appearance and art of the railway station 100 years ago, which has a sense of rebirth.

Together with the Louvre and Orsay Museum, it is the national art and cultural center of Pompidou.

Pompidou, a strange name for foreigners, commemorates French President Georges Pompidou.

And its appearance is even more incredible, because its industrialized steel pipe building is like an oil refinery.

It is also located on the right bank of the Seine River in the famous Latin quarter of Paris, which is out of place among many classical and beautiful buildings.

It was officially completed in 1977 at the initiative of then French President Georges Pompidou, which is such a unique architectural style selected from the 68 1 scheme of 49 countries.

The building area is 654.38+10,000 square meters, the length from north to south is 168 meters, the width is 60 meters, and the height is 42 meters, which is divided into 6 floors. The support of the building consists of two rows of steel pipe columns with a spacing of 48 meters. The floor can move up and down, and the stairs and all the equipment are completely exposed.

This is a giant made of steel pipes. After its completion, there were different opinions, but tolerant Parisians finally accepted it, and now it is called the symbol of modern Paris.

Unlike the first two museums, which have many collections, it plays the role of a public service center. It consists of four parts: Industrial Design Center, Public Information Library, Museum of Modern Art and Music and Vocal Music Research Center.

The free library receives 10000 person-times on non-epidemic days, and has a collection of 300,000 books. It is one of the largest free libraries in France.

This library is also the place where I often do my homework when I study in Paris. It records the quiet time of studying hard, and I miss the literary exhibitions often held there. What impressed me the most was the collection of works by Duras, winner of Gonger Literature Award.

Like domestic libraries, it is often overcrowded and there is also the phenomenon of grabbing seats.

Another major feature of it is the street art performance in the open space at the entrance where no motor vehicles pass. Whether it's graffiti, body art performance, street magic or people sitting on the floor, it's a casual and chic scene.

After a day's study, the revival of French street art always makes people relaxed and comfortable, which may be the essence of French romance.

There are always various exhibitions, lectures and performances in the center and 6th floor of Pompidou Central Hall for tourists to watch and stop.

Why did you come to Pompidou Center?

I think this is the best place to be a citizen of Paris for a day.

These are the three major museums in Paris that I want to talk to you about, each of which is a real experience.

There are many other museums worth visiting in Paris, such as the Orange Orchard Art Museum, the Paris Sewer Museum, which is famous for Monet's paintings, and the French National Museum of Natural History with a long history.

Space is limited, so I can't write it all here.

The countless worlds of the Paris Museum are a treasure, waiting for a heart willing to open it. There are too many historical stories, civilized footprints and artistic essence waiting for the public to dig, taste and appreciate.

Why are we going to the museum?

Because it is a miniature witness of history, Bo Gu can learn from the present and the history.
