However, I have never had a chance to see such a close place.
Colorful Chaka Salt Lake, like a hundred thousand barrels of gold poured on it, the ancient and mysterious Ta 'er Temple, the holy land of Tibetan Buddhism, can only be recalled over and over again in imagination.

However, in the west of Dunhuang, there is a beautiful town, Seven Towns. It is named after being seven kilometers away from Dunhuang City. The streets here are spacious and clean, with good greening. Very oil. On the streets of Dunhuang, street lamps are shaped like flying lanterns. However, in this small town, street lamps are like a blooming flower. In the center of the town, there is a big square called Oil Square. In the center of the square, there is a steel sculpture that looks like a torch. This town is the living base of Qinghai oil people.
The reason why this town is mentioned is because there is a writer Pu Yong of Qinghai Petroleum Bureau in this town. Today, I was invited to Dunhuang Library to share my experience in novel creation.
Also happened to be free, so I went to listen to it. Thinking, no matter what, there will always be gains from listening and watching more.
That is a man of medium height, steady and elegant. About forty years old. Even at the sharing meeting, he is the center. He also wears simple clothes, as real as Qinghai.
This sharing mainly introduces his recently published new book "Grazing", which is a collection of short stories. I only read the title of the book, but I thought it was written by Li Juan, Xinjiang. Actually, it has nothing to do with grazing. Romantically speaking, this means the idea or words of grazing.
We say people are as they say. In the writer's words, there is actually a writer's shadow. In this book, too. The author's main source of material is the people living around him. Or write about the happiness of oil workers or the love confusion of middle age.
In the two-hour speech, Pu Yong mainly talked about some experiences and methods of novel creation.
I summed up the following five points:
First, keep a diary and record it at any time.
In fact, this is what we often say. Writing is a process of accumulation. Without material, there is nothing to write about. Just like "a clever woman can't cook without rice".
Second, be observant, be curious about the world and record your own thoughts.
For example, he said that on his way to work, he always met a lonely old man through the street garden, and he always thought about what kind of life the old man had experienced.
Extract the living conditions of this group of people from a person. Write about life, but don't copy it.
Third, walk. He seems to emphasize this point in particular.
A writer, confined to the small town where he lives, seems to lack a kind of heroism in his works unless he goes out to see the wider world.
As we usually say, reading thousands of books is better than taking Wan Li Road. You can't judge the world until you see it.
Fourth, watch more movies and read more books.
In fact, this is also an input process. After all, a person's life experience is limited, and you can't experience all of it. Yes, movies or books will do. This is also a process of enriching one's mind.
Writing novels, novellas and short stories also needs contradictions, plots and turning points. Otherwise, you can see the ending at a glance. No one likes such works.
Fifth, parody.
For example, he said that many literary masters started with parody at the beginning of their literary creation. For example, famous writers such as Bing Xin and Jin Yong all imitated writing at first.
In short, it is quite rewarding. Maybe different people hear different things. I feel that he has read a lot of books and talked about other people's works.
I have been writing for many years. In fact, over the years, I have also listened to various sharing and lectures by many famous artists.
Roughly classified, there is no more than one, read more and write more. Conciseness is the golden rule of writing and the only way to write.
