Studying in Finland: Introduction to the Specialty Setting of Helsinki University of Technology
Helsinki University of Technology, formerly known as Helsinki Technical School, was founded in 1849. 1872 was renamed Helsinki Institute of Technology, and 1879 was renamed Helsinki Institute of Technology. It was not until 1908 that it was officially named Helsinki University of Technology, which also marked that Finnish universities began to provide science and engineering education. Hegong University has 12 departments, 10 colleges, 17 degree programs, 246 professors and14,763 students with bachelor degree or above. The state allocates about 654.38+0.9 billion yuan for education every year. In 2008, it merged with Helsinki School of Economics and Helsinki University of Art and Design, and the new name was Aalto University, in memory of Finnish designer alvar aalto who designed the campus of Helsinki University of Technology. As of the entry update, the China Student Union of this school has not yet decided on the Chinese translation of the new school name.

At present, there are about 15000 students in this school, ranging in age from 15 to 2 1 year, most of whom are master students. The school was recently rated as the best university in Finland by an independent appraiser.
