The National Library applies for the reader card of the National Library for the first time free of charge with my ID card, household registration book, military officer's card, soldier's card, passport, Hong Kong and Macao pass or Taiwan Province compatriots' home visit card. If it meets other corresponding conditions, it can enjoy the basic functions of the reader card and handle the extended functions according to the procedures; Children should hold valid ID cards (ID cards, household registration books, passports, Hong Kong and Macao passes, Taiwan compatriots' home visit cards), student ID cards and student ID cards (see the relevant regulations on accreditation for details) to apply for reader ID cards in children's libraries.

The books there can only be read in the library, not checked out. If you want to check out, you need to go to the China Book Lending Area 1 floor and enter through the side door.

Access to reading rooms and service points requires a reader's card from the National Library. China citizens aged 16 can enter the open-shelf reading room with the second-generation ID card, and children can enter the children's library with the reader's card of the Children's Library of the National Library. Cardholders must abide by the borrowing rules and relevant regulations of the National Library. If the violation is serious, the reader card/second-generation ID card borrowing function will be suspended until it is corrected. Older readers with discount cards can borrow them first; Disabled readers with disability certificates are exempt from internet browsing fees.
