Chongqing University Library can be divided into six libraries: Humanities and Social Sciences Library, Science and Technology Library, Huxi Library, Historical Documentation Center, Architectural Library and Neo-Confucianism Branch Library.

Among them, the opening hours of science and engineering libraries are the same as those of architectural libraries, from 8: 00 to 22: 00 from Monday to Friday and from 9: 00 to 22: 00 from Saturday to Sunday.

The opening hours of Huxi Library and Humanities and Social Sciences Library are from 8: 00 to 22: 00 from Monday to Sunday.

The historical documents center is open from 8: 00- 1 1: 30, 14: 30- 17: 30 from Monday to Friday, and it is closed on weekends.

The opening hours of the Science Branch are from 9: 00 to 22: 00 from Monday to Sunday.

Chongqing University Library has four campuses (A, B, C and Huxi Campus) 1 independent building, covering an area of 639 19 square meters, providing 5405 reading seats. The libraries in the four campuses all have perfect network facilities, which are connected with the campus network through the 10 Gigabit backbone network, so that the whole library can achieve wireless network coverage.

The library has two modern electronic reading rooms with 160 computers for readers to surf the Internet. The digital library serves readers around the clock, with 5/kloc-0 servers (including virtual machines and physical hosts) and 236TB storage space.
