Anhui Medical University, referred to as "An Medical University", is located in Hefei, the capital of Anhui Province, and is a key university in Anhui Province. The school's predecessor was Shanghai Southeast Medical College, 1926, which was established in May. At the end of 1949, in response to the call of the Central East China Bureau, Southeast Medical College moved to Anhui Province and became the first medical college in Anhui Province. 1952, renamed Anhui Medical College. 1June, 1996, with the approval of the State Education Commission, it was renamed Anhui Medical University.
