Zhu Huiyong, pen name Silent, is an authoritative expert and writer in the field of ancient ships and bridges in China. He was born in 1945, a native of Xinshi Town, Deqing County, Zhejiang Province, and his ancestral home is Du Xue Cun, dongpu town, Yuecheng District, Shaoxing City, Zhejiang Province. He has been engaged in the study of China ancient bridge and ship culture for many years, and has published nearly 4.6 million words of related works so far. He is now a member of Zhejiang Writers' Association, and was awarded "Outstanding Folk Literary Talents in Zhejiang Province" by the Propaganda Department of Zhejiang Provincial Committee on October 9th, 20 13.
