Sichuan University Library is the oldest and largest library in southwest China. The collection of literature in Sichuan University Library covers literature, science, engineering, medicine, economics, management, law, history, philosophy, agriculture, teaching, art and other disciplines. There are 8.28 million kinds of paper documents, 32 1 electronic document database, 3.68 million kinds of Chinese and foreign electronic books, 20,000 kinds of Chinese and foreign electronic periodicals 1.2 million kinds of audio and video, and 220,000 hours of audio and video.
The library of Sichuan University consists of arts and sciences library, engineering library, medical library and Jiang 'an library. The four branches cover an area of 63 100 square meters, and an exhibition hall with museum history has been specially built. The decoration features of each branch of Sichuan University Library are different, but there is a wall that is the same for all four libraries, that is, the exhibition wall of "Academician and Outstanding Professor of Sichuan University", which shows the elegance of academicians and outstanding professors of Sichuan University and records their speeches on the road of struggle.
