Inherited value

Quyang stone carving has profound cultural connotation. It embodies the carving soul of an ancient and simple peasant craftsman, who took agriculture as his main means of survival in Taihang Mountain area. In this ravine rich in white stones, dozens of generations have absorbed the nutrition of the northern nationalities and Buddhist culture through continuous carving, and integrated it with a strong national cultural spirit, depicting national dignity and religious piety with traditional techniques and silent images, and carving world-class cultural treasures brilliantly.

This naturally permeates the personal experience of Quyang sculptors living in Sri Lanka. They have a unique understanding of plastic arts, and at the same time integrate religious beliefs and aesthetic interests into each statue. Through the modeling spirit highlighted in Quyang stone carving works in different periods, we can see that it is clever in hiding from the humble, and the skill of communicating with stubborn stones with small metaphors reflects the depth of Quyang cultural connotation and determines the inheritance value of Quyang stone carving.
