In order to thoroughly implement the spirit of "National Education Work Conference" and "* * * * * National Undergraduate Education Work Conference" and promote the construction of "new engineering" and "new liberal arts" in schools, at 8: 00 am on September 9, Professor Li Chi Ngai, a national inspector and national-level teaching teacher, was invited by Inner Mongolia University of Science and Technology to give a lecture on "Building a first-class undergraduate course" in library B20/KLOC-0. The lecture was presided over by Ren Huiping, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee.
In the lecture, Professor Li Chi Ngai pointed out the direction for Inner Mongolia University of Science and Technology to revitalize undergraduate education from four aspects: new ideas, new actions, new opportunities for professional education and new trends in education reform, which provided a useful reference for further implementing the school's first-class undergraduate education action plan and building first-class majors.
Professor Li Chi Ngai said that undergraduate education must adhere to this principle and promote the return to common sense, duty, original intention and dreams. In his view, under the new trend of educational reform, we should pay attention to reconstructing the training scheme, optimizing the knowledge structure, establishing the relationship between knowledge and how to compile the educational syllabus. The educational syllabus must pay attention to the curriculum objectives and educational requirements, and emphasize the OBE model, that is, pay attention to the result orientation, and clarify the relationship between curriculum objectives and graduation requirements, the relationship between teaching content and curriculum objectives, what to test and evaluation criteria.
After the lecture, Ren Huiping emphasized that relevant functional departments and colleges should organize further study and discussion around Professor Li Chi Ngai's report in combination with the actual situation of the school, think deeply about the shortcomings and areas that need further improvement in undergraduate talent training, and earnestly implement the concept of "student-centered, output-oriented, and continuous improvement".
