The school library is the most important place to cultivate students' ability to collect and process information, an indispensable institution for school education, teaching and educational research services, and an important position and auxiliary classroom to promote quality education for teenagers. For many years, we have always regarded library construction as an important part of campus culture construction. In May, 2006, our school library was rated as the first-class primary school library in Suzhou.

First, functional orientation integration. In order to realize "people-oriented, scientific management and build a new modern school library", we divide the library into teacher reading room, student reading room, teacher-student stacks and electronic reading room according to functions, and each functional area is equipped with anti-theft equipment, photocopiers, bookbinding machines and other use and management equipment; A computer management system was introduced, and 24 computers were equipped for students to browse e-books, which really met the needs of collecting books, reading, surfing the Internet, borrowing and other functions.

Second, the collection structure is diversified. Every semester we will arrange special funds for the purchase of books in the school library. At the same time, we also set up a class library as a "branch library" of the school library. There are about 17000 books in the library, about 12500 books for teachers and students, and about 1500 books for teachers. Third, recycling science. With the help of "any book management system", the library of our school realizes electronic scanning lending and efficient management. By dividing the functional areas of the library, we can meet the knowledge needs of teachers and students in the school and realize humanized borrowing methods. In order to attract students to borrow books, the library makes full use of noon, after class and winter and summer vacations to open to students, realizing humanized reading arrangements. At the same time, we also invite outstanding students to the library for service management and provide personalized ability training.

Fourth, the reading environment is pleasant. A warm and harmonious reading environment can make readers quickly immerse themselves in the realm of reading. The library of our school fully embodies this advantage. Bookshelves are reasonably designed and books are arranged in an orderly way, which is convenient for children to choose books. Reading chairs are designed in a variety of ways to meet the different needs of children: children or groups sit around the round table to read, or sit in the corner by the window to read the inscription alone, or lean on the soft backrest in the hall to enjoy it, or lean on the clean carpet to share it.
