Xi Jiaotong University is a full-time general undergraduate college approved by the Ministry of Education, and it is also a general undergraduate college specializing in rail transit in Shaanxi Province.
The school is the governing unit of the rail transit professional committee of China Vocational Education Association, and Professor Zhang Jinsheng is the executive director of the professional committee. Member unit of "President Union of China-Russia Jiaotong University-China Rail Transit Application Technology Talents Training Alliance"; Member of China Urban Rail Transit Association.
Founded in 1994, formerly known as Xi 'an Science and Technology Business Vocational College. In 20/0/4, Kloc was upgraded to an ordinary undergraduate college with the approval of the Ministry of Education, and was renamed Xi 'an Traffic Engineering College.
The school consists of Xi Hu Yi Campus and Gaoxin Campus. Hu Yi main campus is located on the east bank of Chenpi Lake in Chang 'an, Tang Dou, which is the best place in Guanzhong.
The school covers an area of 623 mu, with a total construction area of 249,000 square meters, a library of 29,700 square meters, 620,000 paper books and 660,000 electronic books. Built a 23,000-square-meter practical teaching center building;
According to the current national railway operation standards, a 425m rail transit comprehensive practice base integrating electrified railway lines, supporting electric rail cars, communication signal systems, traction substations and stations has been built.
The "Ministry of Education-ZTE ICT Production-Education Integration Innovation Base" is one of the innovative and applied technical talents training mode bases jointly established by the Ministry of Education and ZTE in 30 universities across the country, and it is the first batch of Shaanxi universities to jointly build contracted schools.
At present, there are eight teaching units, including School of Communications, School of Mechanical Engineering, School of Electrical Engineering, School of ZTE, School of Civil Engineering, School of Humanities and Economic Management, Department of Ideological and Political Science and Ministry of Public Education, with more than 10,000 students of all kinds.
The school has continuously optimized the discipline structure, with 0/9 undergraduate majors and 23 specialist majors, forming three major professional groups, namely rail transit, electrical information, humanities and economic management, covering engineering, economics, management, education, art and other disciplines.
The school vigorously implements the high-level talent project, gathers discipline teams, condenses discipline direction, builds discipline platforms, cultivates discipline characteristics, adopts the construction mode of "discipline leader+team", and strengthens the construction of three-level echelon of discipline leaders, discipline leaders and young academic backbones.
At present, it has three school-level key disciplines: detection technology and automation devices, communication and information systems, and traffic planning and management, and four provincial-level key majors: communication technology, urban rail transit operation management, electrical automation technology, and urban rail transit control.
The major of rail transit signal and control is a provincial first-class major, and the major of mechanical design and manufacturing and its automation, communication engineering, transportation, electrical engineering and its automation, civil engineering and financial management is a school-level first-class major.
