Hu Gongshi's Writing Thought
After liberation, Mr. Gong was transferred to the Tianjin Municipal Government and the Municipal Federation of Industry and Commerce. 1958, Mr. Gong was transferred to Qingtongxia County, Ningxia. In that era with class struggle as the key link, Mr. Gong's situation can be imagined. I have been in charge of books in the county cultural center, taught primary school students in the commune, stood at the counter in the supply and marketing cooperative, and collected cattle and grass in the cattle farm. Despite the extremely difficult conditions in all aspects, Mr. Gong always firmly believes that the excellent culture and art of the Chinese nation will always have a bright future. In those twenty years, Gong kept a thin book without cover, author and title. This is a 1000-word standard cursive script written by Mr Yu Youren. At that time, Mr. Gong had no pen and paper, so he could only write standard cursive script in his mind. The spring breeze of the Third Plenary Session of the Eleventh Central Committee of the Party shines with Mr. Gong's artistic youth.

1983 In May, the Ningxia Party Committee appointed Mr. Gong Shi as the director of the Literature and History Museum of Ningxia Autonomous Region. Driven and led by Mr. Gong, colleagues of Ningxia Calligraphers Association and Ningxia Painting and Calligraphy Institute actively carried out painting and calligraphy creation, which made the painting and calligraphy art in Ningxia glow with vitality. From 65438 to 0984, Mr. Gong received the support of Mr. Wu Qu, Party Committee of Ningxia, Vice Chairman of CPPCC and Chairman of the Central Committee of the Chinese Revolutionary Committee. Approved by the United Front Work Department of the Central Committee, the China Standard Cursive Society was re-established in Beijing. This will play a positive role in carrying forward the traditional culture and art of the Chinese nation, inheriting and standardizing the cause of cursive writing and serving the United front work. Mr. Gong's calligraphy art soon attracted wide attention at home and abroad. In particular, the Standard Cursive Vocabulary compiled and published by Mr. Gong in 1985 is the crystallization of Mr. Gong's decades of painstaking research on standard cursive, which further improved the system of standard cursive. Up to now, the standard cursive vocabulary has been reprinted six times. In the days before Mr. Gong's death, he took it as his duty to standardize cursive script, and always followed the purpose of "spreading cursive script to the world, making it convenient, giving full play to cultural functions, saving the time of the whole people and carrying forward the traditional weapon of the Chinese nation" advocated by Mr. Yu Youren. Held individual standard cursive exhibitions in China Art Museum, China History Museum, Ningxia, Lanzhou, Xi, Nanjing, Shanghai, Hangzhou, Taiwan Province Province, Japan, Singapore and other countries, organized Chinese and foreign cursive exhibitions, calligraphy exhibitions at home and abroad, calligraphy exhibitions between China and Japan, Yu Youren genre exhibitions, etc., so that standard cursive calligraphy was widely publicized and promoted.

During the Cultural Revolution, the rebels characterized Hu Lao as "feudalism and remnants of the Kuomintang", and he was attacked and criticized. In 1960s and 1970s, Mr. Hu Gongshi worked in the Ancient Books Department of Ningxia Library, sorting out ancient books. Later, he was sent to the new construction site to meet the porters. Hu Lao believes that "after the severe winter, the spring buds are exhausted." He is neither depressed nor depressed. In this neglected place on the construction site, he revisited the old dream and began to reorganize the standard cursive vocabulary. He works in three bungalows on the construction site during the day and compiles standard cursive vocabulary at night and Sunday. He collected a large number of inscriptions by calligraphy masters of Wang Xizhi, Wang Xianzhi, Yan Zhenqing, Liu Gongquan, Ou Yangxun, Zhao Mengfu, Su Shi, Huang Tingjian, Mi Fei, Cai Xiang, Huai Su, Zhang Xu, Wen, and How to choose the words one by one according to the symbols, then copied them out with extremely thin paper and cut and paste them into manuscripts. At home, books and manuscripts are everywhere on the bed, on the cupboard, on the table, even on the chopping board and on the ground. The work of the past six people is now done by him, from 1000 words to 8000 words. There are no weekends and holidays, and all the energy is devoted to the compilation of standard cursive vocabulary. This is simply a foolish man moving mountains!

After the 1970s, the cursive styles of Hu Gongshi and Yu Youren were slightly different, because the calligraphy style benefited from Wei Bei, which was vigorous and magnificent, while Uncle Hu benefited from the two kings, preferring to be beautiful and beautiful.

In the preface to the Standard Cursive Vocabulary published by the Standard Cursive Society, it is commented as follows: "Mr. Gong is famous for his cursive style in the practice of calligraphy art, especially for his cursive style. The main features of his cursive script are: strict laws, combination of strength and beauty, free and easy quality, and beauty, and the realm of' a fine horse is blocked in the autumn wind and apricot flowers are in the south of the Yangtze River'.
