The Children's Department of Hubei Library is open to children and adolescents aged 0- 18 and provides services for parents, educators and children workers. This department has various special service windows such as parent-child amusement park, toy animation park, primary and secondary school students' borrowing area, periodical borrowing area, audio-visual material borrowing area, children's electronic reading area, multi-functional activity area, parents' rest area, children's popular science education base, etc. The children's borrowing area is open to the public all the year round, reading without a license, borrowing with vouchers, getting a certificate for free and surfing the Internet for free. During weekends, holidays, winter and summer vacations, young readers and parents can participate in various public welfare children's reading activities such as colorful children's reading clubs, scientific experiments and educational lectures for free.
The Children's Department of Hubei Library is rich in books and advanced in facilities, and the reading and learning environment is full of humanistic atmosphere, life atmosphere and childlike interest. 2. Audio-visual materials lending area: providing audio-visual appreciation and lending services for more than 20,000 CDs.

Book lending area for primary and secondary school students: Using the self-service lending and returning system, about 80,000 books are provided for primary and secondary school students to borrow. 4. Periodical lending area: This area provides more than 200 latest periodicals and newspapers suitable for teenagers and parents to read.
5. Children's electronic reading area: set up 64 computers, ITV video-on-demand system, LED large screen and other equipment to guide young readers to surf the Internet for free and provide children with various computer training and psychological counseling.
