One day on 20 18, in Foshan Library, I happened to pass by the lecture hall and saw Teacher Li Jiang's Regular Dharma. At that time, the words "kindness and firmness" left a deep impression on me. At that time, my daughter 12 had just entered puberty. Although her daughter is very clever, in order to prevent the "rebellious period of youth", I entered the "positive discipline" parent lecturer class of Li Jiang on June 20 18. In a blink of an eye, it has been three years. During this period, I participated in many activities of EHE in Foshan and experienced various activities. I have also guided PHP activities under the trust of Teacher Jiang. I have also used many tools of positive discipline in the upbringing of children, which has won good parent-child relationship and effect. Although I am also a senior part-time lecturer in the enterprise, and I already have the basic teaching ability, I have never dared to really teach positive subjects. First, I'm not sure if my understanding of positive discipline is in place. I'm afraid of misleading everyone. Second, I'm afraid parents will always judge excellent children and parents by their academic performance. I haven't seen any great achievements in raising children (for example, my daughter has just entered the first year of high school and hasn't verified the results of the college entrance examination), so I dare not rashly stand up and share my experience.

This time, I was lucky enough to be trusted by Mr. Jiang as the teaching assistant of 17 PD parent lecturer class. I reviewed and consolidated the three-day course, observed and understood the teaching of normal subjects with different eyes, and gained a new understanding, which I would like to share with you.

Practice before this study

When my colleagues asked about positive discipline before, I found it difficult to let everyone feel the concept of positive discipline through experiential activities. As the elite of the Internet industry, their basic IQ is relatively high. At the beginning of experiential activities, they will stop or immediately tell the principle and know what kind of experiential perception I want to guide. They also hope that I can use simple, clear, professional and accurate words to explain what positive discipline is, why positive discipline should be used and how to use it. It is quite a challenge for you to answer this question within three minutes, which is quite difficult for the positive discipline with experiential activities as the main carrier.

-What is positive discipline? I believe that "active discipline is to effectively discipline children in a kind and firm way without punishment or connivance";

-Why do we need positive discipline? Because we should not only solve the problems and challenges in the process of child-rearing, but also cultivate children's self-awareness ability, enhance children's self-esteem and cultivate children's positive quality of long-term benefit. This requires parents to first understand their own parenting style, their own children, and adopt a suitable education model.

-How to use positive discipline: The core concept of positive discipline is "kindness and firmness", and how to realize it requires a series of tools. I often introduce links before error correction, palm of my hand, active pause, daily list, wrong purpose list, two lists and so on.

After that, everyone will always reply: everyone understands the truth, but those are theoretical and do not apply to my children ... and then start a round of "condemnation". How can my child be different from other children and disobedient? ...

As I spoke, I lost the courage and will to go on, and I wondered whether this learning mode was not suitable for our environment. Perhaps this is one of the reasons why I don't have enough confidence to study by myself.

The feeling of this research

This time, when I entered the classroom, I once again saw nine students in our 17 period, including parents, teachers, people with special children's education, and big brothers and sisters who are going to be grandparents. They listen carefully, experience attentively and actively share with them. They saw Mr. Jiang happily sharing the explanation with them. After three days of training, everyone became good friends. I like taking pictures, and my main role in this teaching assistant's job is taking pictures. In three days, I took hundreds of photos and collected every happy smiling face and serious expression, which made a memorial for everyone and nourished my heart.

For a good learning atmosphere, I firmly believe that Mr. Jiang's firm positive discipline belief is the greatest contributor. Teacher Jiang said that her wish is to go through 80 homes at the age of 80 and still spread positive discipline like jane nelsen. It is this kind of love that makes Mr. Jiang always maintain his initial intention of being a teacher and spreading the positive wind and discipline. Whether in a classroom with dozens of students or only a few people, I believe that Mr. Jiang will give lectures with the same enthusiasm and heart, pull a few suitcases full, and carefully prepare a large number of books, props and refreshments for positive discipline. Organize every seemingly simple activity with your heart, but only those who have experienced it can understand it, which infected the students who attended the class to devote themselves to the classroom, willing to listen, willing to learn, willing to experience, and more willing to insist on going home and trying to punch in and share.

Understanding of this research

Let me envy, but also suddenly have some new understanding.

1. Communicators also need a "kind and firm" attitude: I must first integrate myself into 100% and firmly believe that it is effective for a long time. Don't expect the "audience" to understand and use it immediately. Apply the concept of "connect first and then correct" and "listen" to their hearts and understand and * * * their feelings first.

2. I believe it is useful, because I have experienced it and feel good: only when I feel good can I do it well. Instructors who actively discipline think this is an effective method and are willing to promote it, not because it has brought us many economic benefits, but because we have used and seen how the kind and firm thoughts and tools of active discipline have changed our parent-child relationship, how to make us good friends with our children and how to improve their problems. Therefore, don't rush to instill all kinds of tools and methods at once, but have the patience of "waiting for a flower to bloom", encourage them to try and experience, patiently expect the feedback of methods and tools bit by bit, and then make them willing to try more step by step.

3. The integration of knowledge and practice requires imperfect courage and courage to act: I have always been afraid of being denied and questioned by others, and I am afraid to start. I always want to act when everything is ready. In this way, after studying the subject for three years, I still failed to take the first step of exchange action. I admire their courage and firm belief when I see the students' slightly tense and blunt guidance activities and their eager sharing in the circle of friends, at school and on the video number after study. If they have imperfect courage, they all say that "speaking is the best learning". It may not be difficult to take the first step, otherwise my "lecturer certificate" is like "driver's license at the bottom of the closet"

My decision and the first step

Take action and take the first step bravely. This is my first decision after I became a teaching assistant. I hope more parents will know positive discipline as a good concept and educational tool, and be less anxious and more determined in the face of the double burden of children's education, so that our children can enjoy the love and companionship from parents who know them better and grow up happily.

It happens that the company also supports and cares about employees' family life and children's education. This year, the trade union also established the "Parenting Exchange Association" and entrusted me as the president. My wish was supported by the trade union. On September 8th, the experiential lecture of "The Opening Season is Positive" received good feedback. Of course, in order to give my colleagues a better experience, I invited the teaching minister of Foshan EHE as the main lecturer this time. However, I finally started the first step of practicing and spreading the concept of positive discipline. At the scene, I also made a little introduction to positive discipline, and promised everyone that I would set up a small group to share more tools with you for free as long as necessary. Believe me, I can do it.

look into the future

Thank you, Mr. Jiang, for giving me a chance to review the past, giving me a better feeling and a deeper understanding of positive discipline, and also giving me imperfect courage and the strength to dare to practice. Work will still be very busy in the future, but learning will not stop and growth will not stop. I think I will hold the belief of "kindness and firmness", not only continue to accompany my daughter to grow up happily with positive discipline, but also actively take a step of sharing and spreading positive discipline, so that more people will agree with this concept and be willing to use it, so that more children can be nourished by the method of "positive discipline" and create a more harmonious and warm growth environment for our next generation.
