Shanxi Library is a public welfare library organized by the state, and it is the center of collection, production, exchange service, cooperation and coordination and business research of literature information resources and digital resources in Shanxi Province. It has the functions of preserving human cultural heritage, carrying out social education, transmitting scientific information, developing intellectual resources, and providing reading consulting services for the public, party and government organs, scientific research, education and production units in Shanxi Province. The new museum officially opened in Changfeng Business District on the west bank of Fenhe River.
