Why is the library of Dalian University of Technology called Lingxi Library? And Bochuan Library?
The library of Dalian University of Technology was founded in 1949, then called Dalian Institute of Technology Library. Lingxi Library is a newly-built library in 2009, located in the west campus of the school. It was named after Qian Lingxi, a famous mechanic and educator. It is a modern university library with high degree of information automation and advanced management. It is another landmark library building after Bochuan Library. The Library of Software College is located in the campus of Development Zone, which is a place to provide literature information resources for teachers and students of Software College.
