Explore the mysterious kingdom of Dabaigao
White and high are the names of an English book I saw in the museum window. I was surprised at that time. What is Bai Gao? I didn't know it was Bai Gaoguo until I read the information, that is, Xixia.

The name sounds mysterious. It is estimated that most people don't have much impression on Xixia except Xu Zhu and Meng Gu, who are widely known for Eight Dragons.

The shape is similar to Chinese characters, but I don't know them. It looks like "Jingweiyan Township", which means great white and high country in Chinese. "Da" is a special term for the self-esteem of dynasties to show the sacredness and supreme dignity of state power. "Baigao Country" is because the Tangut people first lived in the upper reaches of the Yellow River, which originated from the Yellow River and has been called "White River" since ancient times. In order to show the nostalgia and admiration of the Tangut people for this area, the country name is used to praise it. "Dabai Gaoguo" is a country established by the ancestors living in the upper reaches of the Baihe River, which is a practical and special country name for Xixia.

CCTV made a documentary called Mysterious Xixia. Less than 200 years of history and culture, but like a bright meteor, disappeared in the long river of time, leaving a variety of mysteries for future generations.

In the desert yellow sand, several towering mounds, like steamed buns, stand in the endless wilderness, surrounded by broken rammed earth walls, dotted with clusters of yellow hay, dust and rubble, and antique bricks, and Helan Mountain can be seen in the distance. Cloudy day, just a few drops of rain, more suitable for nostalgia. At this time, overlooking this place thousands of years ago, you can imagine the magnificent scene of "the desert is lonely and straight, and the long river sets the yen".

This is the famous Xixia mausoleum. Niu and Supreme Bao once had a fight here. No wonder they are familiar with each other.

On 58 square kilometers of yellow land, there are 9 tombs of emperors and more than 200 tombs with princes and princes buried. Unfortunately, now almost all the ground buildings have been leveled, except for a few lonely loess piles, nothing is left, and there are no stone pavilions.

Walking in the mausoleum area has a special feeling. It is desolate and empty. If you don't understand some history and culture of Xixia, it is nothing more than a loess bag. This is not much different from cyrus the great's mausoleum. There is really nothing to see, only what is behind is worth remembering.

Approaching the mausoleum tower, it is a cone made of loess rammed, with seven layers and eight sides, and the Buddhist characteristics are obvious. No wonder some people say this is the "Oriental Pyramid". Although the appearance is far from the pyramid, they are all equally mysterious.

The mystery is mainly because the history of Xixia is vague and scattered in various ancient books, and there is no special written record. Yuan Dynasty historians compiled the history of Song Dynasty, Liao Dynasty, Jin Dynasty, but not Xixia Dynasty, perhaps because they didn't hate God? Listen to me slowly.

/kloc-At the beginning of the 3rd century, Genghis Khan led the Mongolian army to the West Xia Zheng for five expeditions, but failed. Unofficial history said that he died in the mouth of a princess in Xixia (this romantic and bloody story is shared by everyone). Until 1227, the sixth invasion finally conquered Xixia, and according to Genghis Khan's will, all the palaces, temples and classics in Xixia were turned into a scorched earth.

The tombs of Xixia can't escape bad luck, and they are burned, so it is inevitable to dig graves and expose corpses. This shows that Mongolia hates Xixia.

In fact, I doubt whether there is Li Yuanhao's body under the loess pile now.

Speaking of the founding emperor Li Yuanhao, the history books say that "nature is heroic and broad", which shows his literary talent and military talent. Hao Yuan, a teenager, was called "really brave" by Cao Wei, a famous singer in the Song Dynasty. As an adult, Hao Yuan repeatedly advised his father Li Deming not to submit to the Song Dynasty. 1038 proclaimed itself emperor and named it "Great White and High Country". Get rid of the control of the Song Dynasty and realize the independence of the Tangut. Relying on the brave Xixia army, they talked with their neighbors while fighting, and Haoshuichuan defeated Song in World War I. Since then, Xixia, Song and Liao have become a foothold.

I have to say that Li Yuanhao is a hero, but as the author of A Brief History of Xixia said, he is a tyrant. Yuan Hao was a suspicious, suspicious, lecherous woman who acted arbitrarily and killed his mother, uncle, wife and children. Finally, he was beheaded by his son Ning Lingge and died of blood. Poor thing, how many heroes still can't pass the beauty pass.

After that, Yuan Haowen dared to inherit the throne and lost the exclusive power of the collectors. The history behind it is messy and meaningless. Eventually destroyed by Mongolia, Xixia died 189. In fact, before the formal establishment of People's Republic of China (PRC), Xixia had existed for more than 50 years. In retrospect, it should be from his distant ancestor Tuoba Sigong who was given the surname Li in the Tang Dynasty for his active crusade against Huang Chao.

That's a little far. In fact, what I want to say is that Xixia is definitely worth a visit, and so is the tomb of Xixia.
