School of systems engineering. The School of Systems Engineering of National University of Defense Technology developed from the former Department of Systems Engineering and Mathematics, and was established in 1979 under the personal guidance of Comrade Qian Xuesen. It mainly undertakes the training of professionals in disciplines such as operational planning and mission planning, simulation engineering and operational target engineering, and professionals related to joint operational support.
