How to find books by library call number
The way to find books in the library is to confirm the floor according to the first letter of the call number, and then find the bookshelf according to the classification number after arriving at the corresponding stack.

There is a floor classification navigation map at the entrance of each floor stack. Through the navigation map, we can know which books are distributed on which floor. Take the call number I267/2269 as an example, with the initial letter I. According to the classification navigation map of stacks, the corresponding position of Class I books is in the stacks on the first floor of the library. You can look for this book in the stacks on the first floor of the library.

After arriving at the corresponding stacks, there will be classified navigation next to each bookshelf, showing the main storage types and scope of this book. The book category, call number range and specific theme are marked, and the bookshelf can be found according to the classification number.

Generally, it consists of several groups of numbers arranged by branches, which are often printed on the upper left corner of the catalog card, on the book label below the spine, and above the title page or back cover of the book.

A call number can only represent one kind of books, because the shelving methods of library books can basically be divided into two categories: classified shelving and formal shelving.
