The characteristics of ancient "libraries" in China are as follows: First, most of them were run by royalty, but also by intellectuals or collectors. Second, it is not open to the outside world. Third, pay more attention to collection than use. The fourth is the integration with book compilation and publication. Five, in fact, it is very different from modern libraries, and it is also appropriate to call them libraries and archives.
