What is the library standard?
The first standard of modern library construction is social cooperation. Socialization refers to breaking through the boundaries of existing libraries, breaking through the limitations of a single library, forming a library society and building a library social family. Or simply put, it is to establish a system of * * * building * * * to enjoy the library. This is because in today's information society, the number of literature information resources is quite huge, and any library can't collect them completely. In addition, readers' sense of urgency and demand for information is increasing day by day. Only by sharing information resources and carrying out socialized cooperation through networked library groups can the problem of information sources be solved. For example, the shortage of funds for literature procurement, a problem that puzzles libraries all over the world, is actually a prominent manifestation of information explosion, although there are factors such as rising literature prices. If the trend of information explosion is not weakened, it will be impossible to alleviate the situation of document explosion, and it is natural that libraries are under pressure. According to the previous model, all libraries are pursuing perfection and aiming at the needs of readers. Now, no matter whether it is "big and complete" or "small and complete", it is impossible for anyone to do it. Even though the cost of literature procurement can be greatly increased, the problems that have plagued us for a long time, such as the continuous shortage of libraries, the unlimited growth of managers, and the increasing difficulty for readers to use literature, cannot be solved. There is only one way out of the predicament, and that is to realize socialized document sharing. The second is information service. Modern libraries pay more attention to the transmission, exchange and utilization of information, and provide wider information services for the society and readers than information services through various service modes and means. Information-centered, information-oriented and service-driven libraries will transform traditional libraries into network-based information service centers. Their main task will not be to occupy information resources, but to dynamically develop and link various resources and services to help users search, analyze and use information. It is reflected in the wide application of modern computer technology, communication technology, optical technology and other high-tech means in various businesses of the library, which has laid a good technical and material foundation for the information-based reader service and made it a reality for the library to move from manual document collection service to information-based reader service.
